Friday night Potluck services
Please join us on Friday nights for a potluck dinner at 6:30 PM followed by services at 7:30 PM. These dinners are a nice time to get together with friends and catch up local events. This is a very social time and families are encouraged to come. If you would like to bring a dish feel free, it doesn't need to serve an army. If you don't have time to bring something, that's alright also. We always have plenty. After dinner we have a congregational led service with everyone contributing in Hebrew or English. These are relaxed, casual services with lots of singing and where together the sum of services is much greater than what we all contribute. Families are encouraged to stay, as our youngest member is 4 years old.
Simple Mitzvot
Do something good without to much effort. We have several elderly members in our congregation who don't feel comfortable driving to services at night. If you could give someone a ride to services with you please call them, or would like to offer your services call an Executive Board Member. Would you like to come to services but don't have a way to get there? Call an Executive Board Member and we will find you transportation to and from services. We would love to have you join us, and not having transportation is not a reason to miss services. Call us today for this Friday night.
Oneng Shabbat
The Friday nights that we have a Rabbi with us, we often have sweets afterwards to munch on while we socialize. Please bring one of your favorite treats, either home made or store bought to share with friends.
